New Yorkers Forever

 

I met MarkG Dagger back in 2020. I had been sent from the office to work from home due to COVID-19 and started frequenting Junkyard Blues for some background music while I worked. Mark told me about how, while in the US navy, he'd suffered a life-altering injury. During our conversation, we discovered we were both New Yorkers who had moved to Florida. He then said something that I have been saying since arriving in the Sunshine State. "You cant even get a decent cannoli." We've been friends ever since.

It wasnt long before I was part of a small group of what I called "my blues friends." One of those friends, Mark's closest buddy and extraordinarily good DJ, Wolf Austrone, became suddenly ill earlier this year and spent a month in a coma before passing away.  We were so saddened by his loss that I wanted to represent him in this pic in some way.
